Croc full of it

So it's Tuesday and once again I'm searching for my crocs. I started searching last night, under the bed, in the cupboard (a scary place as bwo has been in a hurry recently, and mother-in-law-superior is out of commission because her ear went under the knife), I looked in the washing basket and even in the shoe cupboard. No where to be seen. I like my crocs in the winter. They are warm and soft and you don't feel the cold tile floors through the thick rubber soles. But, you see, Azziza was here yesterday (Monday) and every Monday she hides my crocs in a new and unusual place. I usually takes me till Wednesday to find them, so I'm not completely lost yet. I get the feeling she really doesn't like me.

So... are they lost? or are they somewhere?

I have another branch of your tree who tried to find a tupperware and matching lid this morning - he's a good looker!

The whole question of lost vs. misplaced has been widely discussed on Rehov HaNevel. Bwo claims things are not lost if you have not looked for them for at least a few days (I believe that is the current definition). How long you have to look for them until they can be defined as lost seems a very flexible parameter and thus makes me uncomfortable. I need hard and fast laws to live by, by golly.

Maybe your crocs are lost with your incomming port 80 ?

My port 80 works now - they changed the router. Spiffy new one.

Ok, here we go again.... misplaced means they are SOMEWHERE.
That is NOT the same as lost.
Sorry, no way, no how.

And more than that...

They are "somewhere" as long as you have NOT looked for them. Which makes sense.

They are possibly lost, if you have made a really good effort at searching the whole house and they still have not shown up anywhere.

They are definitely lost of they have been skit.

WHY is this so hard to understand bpo??

Maybe they went to the Israeli equivalent of new Brighton?

Liv, they were in the bathroom. Really.

What bathroom, what shoes! They were under the washing in the washing basket. Even you, little miss thinks she's the best finder in the world, would not have found them, but for the washing.
